Our fuel
Biomass that works. Energy that delivers.
From locally sourced biomass to industrial heat, Utheri connects the right fuel with the right application.
Products · Our product lines
Seven biomass fuels. One supplier.
Each product is its own line and its own fuel. Our briquettes, Super Logs, are pressed from sawdust only and made to each client’s consumption needs and technical specifications. The others are supplied as they are, sourced from sawmills, farms and forests.

Specification · Fuel data
Tested and measured before it ships.
Every batch is moisture-tested and inspected before it leaves Maai Mahiu. These are the figures engineers ask for when sizing a boiler switch.
“Quality is not what we claim—it’s what our customers verify.”
In July 2026 our briquettes passed an independent quality test at a customer’s plant in the EPZ, including calorific value and moisture content.
| Calorific value (MJ/kg) | On request |
|---|---|
| Moisture content (%) | On request |
| Ash content (%) | On request |
| Density (kg/m³) | On request |
| Dimensions (mm) | On request |
| Bag weight (kg) | On request |
Applications · Where our fuel works
Where our fuel works: one resource, many uses.
The same dense, dry briquette can fire very different equipment. The conversation starts with how your plant uses heat.
- Boilers Steam and hot water for process heat and cleaning.
- Industrial furnaces Sustained high-temperature heat for production.
- Kilns Controlled heat for drying and firing.
- Gasifiers Biomass converted into a combustible gas for heat.
System · On your site
On your site: from delivery to heat.
We understand the relationship between fuel, process and industrial heat. This is how biomass moves through a typical system, from the fuel we deliver to the heat your process uses.
- Biomass fuel Utheri briquettes delivered to your site. Input
- Storage Received, stored and managed on site. Process
- Handling Conveyed and metered as a steady supply. Process
- Conversion Boiler, gasifier, kiln or furnace turns biomass into heat. Output
- Industrial heat Heat transferred and distributed to the process. Application
